You want to go back to school and continue your education. Perhaps you’d like to earn your first degree or ou’d like to earn a new degree in a different field. You’ve been dreaming of that degree but haven’t dared believe your dream can come true because you think you are too old.
You aren’t. It really is that simple. I don’t care what your age is, as an experienced college-level educator I can assure you that you are not too old, because there are many nontraditional students on college campuses today (and likely some of those are older than you are), your life experience gives you many advantages over more traditional students, and with the growing nontraditional population many colleges have programs and services especially tailored for the nontraditional student.
I went back to school in my 30s and today I teach college. Yes, I have many traditional students in my classroom but every semester I have a large percentage of nontraditional students as well. I have studens in their late 20s as well as 30s, 40s, 50s, and up. I have students who have retired from one career and are looking to move into another. I have students whose children (or grandchildren) have left the nest so they are looking to enter a new stage in their life.
I also have many students balancing school with work and family. I have students who are the traditional age but are in nontraditional circumstances including children and family, work and military service, as well as sports and other activities. You are a unique person, but your situation is not as unique as you might think.
In many ways, your age, or rather your life experience, will be a tremendous asset for your return to school. Nontraditional students understand much better than traditional students how to manage their time and prioritize tasks. In addition, nontraditional students are often much more motivated and goal-oriented than their more traditional counterparts. Finally, your life experience also gives you a great deal of knowledge and experience to fall back on or pull from when it comes to understanding, applying, or adapting the new knowledge you gain through college. I regularly see my nontraditional students outperform traditional students in many ways, but it ultimately comes down to a maturity of thinking and reasoning that can only come with growing up. I know when I returned to college as a student after working for a number of years that I did much better in the classroom and also handled my work load much better than I did when I was a more traditional student.
Today colleges recognize they have a changing student population and offer classes in a variety of formats including on campus, off campus, televised, and internet as well as a range of schedules including days, nights, weekends, and accelerated. In addition, there are now support services available for students who fall outside the traditional student role. Many financial aid and scholarship programs also exist specifically for the nontraditional student.
In the end, it really comes down to your own gut feeling. Do you really want that degree? Are you ready to change your life? You can do it and there will be help and support available for you. Don’t use your age as an excuse not to pursue your dream.

Forensic nursing is one of the most sought-after careers in today’s world. Get the required training for conducting crime investigations, give court evidences, and treating the victims of assault. This is all you have to do in forensic nursing. The forensic nurses range from sexual assault examiners to the nurses specializing in the areas like domestic violence, child or elder abuse and emergency trauma. The responsibilities of the forensic nurses vary. They may undertake several different tasks like performing death investigations, working with criminals in the prison itself, counseling school children, being available as an emergency nurse and many more.
Forensic nursing is a new career emerging in the field of forensic sciences recognized by the American Nurses association. It is a mixture of the medical activity with the judicial law. As a forensic nurse a wide array of exciting career opportunities can be pursued.
Forensic nursing has its own number of specialties as any other regular nursing course would have. Nurses who aspire for this career field can choose one or more of the offered specialties which they prefer the most. There are various reasons which should be considered while you decide on choosing forensic nursing as a career. Both the degree and the certificate are the indicators of the skill and education that the person holding the degree or the certificate possesses which is required to properly perform the duties of a forensic nurse.
A certificate is, talking generally, very fast to obtain as compared to the degree. The schools offering degree are more than he ones who offer certificates in forensic nursing. It is upon you to decide which institution to choose. The factors which need to be kept in mind are the time needed to become a forensic nurse, distance to the training institution, financials and educational compensation from the current employer. Some of the employers will enable you to cover the educational cost incurred for becoming a forensic nurse and may even allow time to carry out activities necessary for completing the education. Proper investigation is required from your side regarding your employer as well as the institution.
Sometimes it happens that you may not find any educational facility near you. If this be the case then online programs are also available. The online forensic nursing educational programs help people to complete their education from anywhere in the world.
There are various types of specialties ion forensic nursing. A sexual assault examiner nurse obtains a first round entry. They deal with the sexually assaulted victims by conducting in-depth interviews and physical exams to collect the possible evidences. The nurses have to join forces with the law enforcement agencies. Sometimes they are also required to testify in the court too. Forensic nurse investigators have to collaborate with the detectives, examine the dead bodies, taking blood samples and much more. A death investigator has to be the first person at the crime scene. A knowledgeable background is needed to be able to gather the approximate time of death. These were some of the specialties. The forensic nursing holds much more. More in depth information can be found at the forensic nursing website. There are also great tips on getting forensic nursing education
As each person that God has created is unique, there is a certain uniqueness associated with how a person learns. There are three types of learning styles: visual, auditory, and tactile/kinesthetic. Some students need to be shown what to do (working best with pictures and diagrams) while other students may learn best by hearing material (such as hearing the story of the Underground Railroad). Another group of students may not learn something until they can manipulate it with their own hands (putting together a model airplane to understand its architecture). Do you have any idea what type of learning style suits you best?
It is important to know what kind learner you are so that you can help your homeschooler when s/he has questions. This information is valuable when it is compared to the type of learner that your student is. You can be of best service to your child when you understand how he/she understands information. Always keep in mind that the way you explain information may not be the best way to reach your child. You want to make every effort to understand the way your child processes information and what you can do to make sure it is expressed in that way.
The Southern Baptist Academy is conducive to any learning style because it gives you and your student the freedom to take the provided curriculum in any direction that you need it to go. If your homeschooler needs to see information, s/he will find it convenient that we incorporate these elements in our curriculum. In addition, you can take it upon yourself to use supplemental materials to make his/her learning experience as full as it can be. Working with your student will be the key to finding the most appropriate delivery style.
We incorporate all learning styles into our delivery of content to your homeschooler. We allow you the opportunity to tailor it to fit your unique student’s needs. There should never be a time that your student doesn’t understand material because it is not being presented correctly. Always know that The Southern Baptist Academy staff is here to assist you as you make our special online curriculum yours!

All the Science fair projects should be focused on the continuous change that is to be observed in the present properties of the elements. If you are highly interested in developing your own chemistry projects, you will have to pay attention to the current trends that affect the table of elements. These trends can also be understood by using the electron configurations that are available on every table of elements. These electrons are to be analyzed because they tend to lose or even gain various valences in order to obtain the final and stable octet formation that can be demonstrated through the science project. In addition to this constant activity, one may also observe other trends that may be demonstrated through the chemistry projects; for instance, the electrons are likely to be added by moving from the left to the right across a certain period.
Therefore, the outermost electrons are likely to experience a strong nuclear attraction and the electrons will become quite closer to the existing nucleus. The second trend that affects the electrons activity is the constant moving down when it comes to the periodic table; this movement will make the outermost electrons to become even less bound to their nucleus. All these trends may be illustrated by a carefully built science project because the elemental properties of the electrons can be observed. The atomic radius, ionization energy, electron affinity and electro negativity are to be used in order to create the Science fair projects that will be interested enough for all the students who attend a certain course.
But selecting the appropriate topic for the Science fair projects in order to use the periodic table of elements can be a direct source of trouble for the students who are not familiar enough with the process that are implied by chemistry. There are many topics available online in case that you do not posses enough imagination in order to create your own chemistry topic for your future projects. You may also take a close look to the materials that may be involved in a particular experiment in order to choose the less expensive ones that will do their job when presenting your Science fair projects. Every student will be encouraged in order to choose a topic of his/her own interest in order to create the appropriate project; but some of these personal tastes may be quite expensive when it comes to the materials that will be involved in the future experiments. Therefore, the parents should make their appearance in order to help their child to choose the materials that can be afforded by his/her family. The parents will guide the student towards something that proves to be more economical in their case.
The free and easy projects are likely to come along with cheaper materials as well; you may also choose to create a project that involves the available household materials that are not likely to be too expensive for your family. The project does not have to be expensive because even the cheapest science project may be a good one regardless of the materials that are being used during the experiments. You may also base your entire research on the present periodic table of elements in order to create and demonstrate simple ideas that may be related to the role the chemistry plays in your common and daily life.
There are some methods in order to control the possible costs that may be implied by the Science fair projects; for instance, you may choose a topic that is related to a very simple or common theme. In this case, you will not need extra materials in order to make your point through your science project. On the contrary, you will be able to limit yourself to things that are already available in your own home in order to demonstrate a scientific hypothesis. Another method would consist into using all the public resources that are available at a certain point; for instance, you may use the public library in order to collect all the necessary information.
You may even take full advantage of the school computer in order to browse all the available internet resources. You may use the existing materials that are to be found in an easy manner without having to search for them. Time and money can be saved when it comes to creating a science project; for instance, you can choose to have a project that involves the magnets because these items are very cheap and they are not likely to come along with complicated devices. You will thus be able to have fun while creating your chemistry projects because every outcome is likely to be a fantastic one.The Science fair projects can be fun especially if you are not thinking of the periodic table of elements as being a boring tool.

So, why DO some teachers dread returning to school after breaks?
Teachers are people first and people are people regardless of the occupation. We all have good and not so good days, weeks or even months.
In one way, teaching is much like any other job in that if one has unresolved issues making the work place “uneasy”, usually going back into the same environment after a nice break is likened to cleaning your German Shepherd’s teeth as a stranger is approaching. EEK!
Hourly, daily and yearly skirmishes abound not only with co-workers and students, but with administration as well. Skirmishes are just part of the territory of teaching and should be viewed by teachers as “challenges”. Challenges are opportunities for change. Every day is a new day filled with challenges for teachers and students. Unfortunately, many teachers don’t look forward to challenges and that is a shame. Challenges once conquered, enable us to have a more positive outlook on upcoming challenges. Life is wonderful!
But, teaching is a unique occupation in that teachers influence children with their every word, mood, enthusiasm or lack of it, every single day. And, children ARE our future. Their values, beliefs, education (whether high-quality or low-quality), is the driving force behind what they become and how they become who they become. And who they become (if we’re fortunate), are agents of change in a world so desperate for positive change that it’s busting at the seams. Is there any other profession that holds such a profound obligation? I think not.
So, what goes on inside some classrooms once the door is shut? Forget about co-workers and their lack of motivation, prominent negativity and counting the days until this break or that break or the end of school. Oh my! Such behavior need not be contagious. For a moment, let’s place ourselves in one classroom in one school in one quiet, small city.
Let’s go right into the classroom, shall we? Once the classroom door is shut, the teacher is in charge, right? Or, is she? Prepare for a shock. Some teachers do not have control of the learning environment. Oh my! And in many cases, there is a good reason for this feeling of inadequacy. You see, classroom discipline or any type of discipline for that matter comes from within oneself. Of course College classes attempt to teach it. Friends attempt to describe it and some leaders show us how to lose it. But, for many, it is an elusive characteristic.
I once knew a teacher with 25 years of experience under her belt. What an accomplishment! Most would deduce that after 25 years of experience a teacher would have no problem whatsoever with classroom discipline. Prepare for a shock. Since she had virtually no classroom discipline, the students ran the classroom and she let them. EEK!! What do you think those students learned from that teacher day after day after day? I’ll leave that to your imagination. This teacher dreaded returning to school after breaks. And, there is no doubt as to why.
Another teacher with 5 years of experience had the same problem. Each time I entered her classroom, she was struggling to grasp some shred of control. It just wasn’t going to happen. This teacher started counting the days until the end of school from the FIRST DAY of school. Oh my! This teacher dreaded going back to school every new year. What a heartbreaking shame. And, there is no doubt as to why.
We all know who pays the price for teachers whose hearts are not in teaching for one reason or another and dread returning break after break, year after year.
GO happily! GO desiring! GO yearning to get back into that classroom! Learn self-discipline. It will take time but, it is possible.
The truth is, discipline is a learned behavior that we either learn or don’t. And, it carries through to every aspect of our lives, our homes, our animals, our money, our relationships, our grocery store visits, our department store visits, our habits good and bad, and on and on and on.
Children in school are “learning to learn”. Teachers must set high expectations for student learning and create a positive learning environment. If high expectations are set by teachers, children will strive to meet them IF the learning environment is positive. I know my students always performed well and strived to meet the expectations I set forth for them.
Parents are an invaluable asset to the educational process as well. If parents notice negative behaviors from children at home, they need to address them immediately. We all must work together as a team. We must all model self-discipline.
How do you think we can change the classroom discipline problems in our classrooms?
The Washington Post states that 900,000 teenage girls become pregnant each year. According to another study, one in four American teenagers contract an STD each year. These statistics naturally strike fear into the heart of every parent, especially considering that more teens are engaging in secular activity at younger ages.
What’s more disturbing is that the public schools are no longer discouraging this kind of activity but encouraging teen sex by providing free condoms and other “safeguards” against STD’s. Abstinence is often taught as an outmoded footnote in sex education programs that encourage students to be safe while having sex with multiple partners. Teen rape is also at an all-time high.
Christian parents should be aware of the sexual climate that exists within public schools. Consider the game “Snap” played by young schoolgirls. The girls wear bracelets of various colors, each color representing some kind of sexual act. The boys try to yank the bracelets off of the girls’ arms. If successful, the boy is guaranteed a sexual liaison featuring that particular act with the girl. If the nature of this game shocks you, consider that the girls playing the game are as young as eleven years old.
Parents need to do something about this. From the moment that students walk out of their homes they are confronted with attitudes toward sex that are completely antithetical to a Christian worldview. Parents should seriously rethink exposing their children to this kind of environment. There is really only one solution, as cultural and social factors are working against teens and preteens 24 hours a day. Only homeschooling offers an environment in which students can learn free from these negative influences. Homeschooling allows your kids to be kids.

Is modern technology making the human species weaker? Some think it is and many have nearly lost their sense of smell, sense of taste and intuition, which is a common trait throughout the animal kingdom, which includes people. Technology and Change always comes under fire from those who fear change, yet are we failing to heed the warning this time? Are we really moving technology so fast that people are not people anymore?
Recently one humanist made a biting comment and said; “You see, the technology that many are promoting now has actually caused us to “devolve” yet is being promoted under the guise of progressive “evolution”.
Well yes that is a valid point and worthy of consideration and I for one agree that is one good argument against the rapidly increasing technology. And the potential eventuality of a “Singularity” of Human Evolution as Ray Kurzweil the Famous Futurist often states. But have we really taken a good look at the human race lately? The average human being cannot even get out of their own way. I mean we have 80% of the African Continent at 85 IQ, rest of the world at barely over that. In the US we are doing about 100, with public servants not allowed to be over 105 or the police departments will not hire them?
Many believe that the future advances cannot go on without a total collapse of civilization and what it means to be human stating things like:
“This propaganda will never sustain itself because there are still human beings out there that can “feel” the lack of integrity in this marketing.”
Well wait a second now. We are about to solve all mankind’s problems and we are almost there. We will solve cancer issues, water crisis, weather control and so many problems which plague mankind through sciences of computers, biotech, new materials and robotics. And you see most humans really do not wish to work if they had their druthers, so why push them to do something they hate? Besides there really is no work ethic or integrity in most modern civilization anyway for that matter.
So if robotics as an example can solve these problems that is a good thing and the humans are free to have more leisure time to evolve and catch up, ponder ideas and move into the future undeterred. Take my industry for instance I am in the car wash business and no one really wants to work you see, so fine I will build robots to wash cars. And as we recently saw with the DARPA Grand Challenge we can build them and drive them selves too.
Additionally is technology causing humans to de-evolve or are humans sinking to the lowest common denominator? And is this modern technologies fault or is it a human problem? For instance, humans 30% would lie to you if they felt they might be able to make one dollar. Another 30% would lie to you to make $500 and 29% would for 1,000 to 10,000 dollars. So where is the lack of integrity that those who oppose technology are talking about here? It seems to me that de-evolution is happening in France with the riots lasting four weeks? Is that technologies fault? The warring tribes in Africa are killing each other and you do not see a lot of technology there? I hereby declare victory in the argument that modern advances in technology is de-evolving the human species and further wait for the next attack from those who fear change. Think on it.
Education, Online University
Getting an online university degree from an online degree is more convenient in many cases. Offcourse this issue can vary from person to person. A person who wishes to have a globally recognized degree right from his comfort at home may opt for an online degree from a worldwide reputed online university. There are numerous such universities offering an online degree but some of them may not be globally recognized. So, before opting for any online degree it is very much necessary that one should thoroughly go through the history of information on a particular university. The university directory is of great help to choose an online university with ones personal preference.
Some of the most popular online universities are University of Phoenix, The Art Institutes, and Strayer University, Westwood College, South University etc.
Online universities offers an online degree on a number of subjects like psychology, liberal arts, culinary arts, creative writing, public relation, game art and design, graphic design, interior design, multimedia and web design, engineering studies, gerontology, family and community services, advertising, marketing, information technology, political science, economics, criminology, sociology, hospitality, public relations, human resource and many other streams including management as well. These online degrees are not limited to only certified degree or bachelor degree. One can opt for a master degree as well as a doctorate degree online from a reputed Online University.
The most effective part of these online universities is that they offer a flexible online degree program without any discrimination based on caste, race, or nation i.e. anyone whether he is a as American, Asian, or a African can opt for a online degree course at any stage of his or her life. They can also opt for dual degree program like one can take an online degree in Hospitality as well as in Human Resource. This leaves an advantage on the student’s career where he can be flexible in choosing his job in either hospitality or human resource.
Last but not the least; online universities are the most cost effective universities where we are gratis of hostel fees. Also, we can complete our degree at minimal fees. We have the comfort of home where we can work with our daily life and have our online degree at midnight. These online universities have no doubt simplified education to its highest level that have led to an imperative revolution in the system of education. Getting an online university degree from an online degree is more convenient in many cases. A person can study and accomplish them, sitting at their own home.
Introducing the Black Hole-like Formation Phenomenon by Assuming an Imaginary 4-dimensional Spacetime for Universe Structure
6) Conclusion
Now we are ready to answer that question asked at the beginning of the paper; how can we model rules of a distinct set to form a continuous structure?
In fact what an observer records is the result of our surrounding physical actions. All of observers in a specific frame of reference will feel the same physical relations, but it is not necessary condition for another observer to record them with the same magnitudes. The physics task is to attribute specific transformations to fundamental principles of particles for all of observers to make them all looked the same. Since we are able to reduce the rate of objects viewed in a camcorder till to see the passage of only one image in front of our eyes at one second, but do not forget that we should multiply all of these laws and relations applied in this new frame by a specific transformation. Certainly, there is difference between the quantity of one second time in two frames. The Relativity has taught us this comprehension. And moreover, the assumption of seeing and not seeing the pharoses can be explained easily.
As we saw, the distance concept in imaginary space time of differs from that of in real spacetime and after integrating them we found actually that the waiting time in for an observer of real space frame of reference is equivalent to zero seconds, by using a specific transformation equal to We would get the familiar form of relativistic particles motion equations. Hence, we tried to perform this useful assumption in our real events. So we could prove that at a particular time , the electron will change into a black hole-like object and finally we used this assumption to renew the mechanism of formation of black holes from stars.
Therefore the entire attempt of this paper was to not ignoring the fundamental principles of quantum and relativity physics and could solve our world ambiguities as easy as possible.
